Why do we plant trees in Nepal and Madagascar?

We are on a mission to not only get dangerous poisons out of our home and the environment, but to build a business that 'does good' while it grows. For us, that means planting trees in areas that truly need it. Tree planting essential, but particularly in Nepal and Madagascar. Here's why:

NO TREES = LANDSLIDES, SOIL EROSION AND WATER SCARCITY:

One of the main reasons for deforestation in Nepal is commercial logging, which has resulted in the loss of many tree species that are vital for the country's environment and local communities. It destabilises the land, making it easier for natural disasters to occur.

TREE PLANTING HELPS FIGHT CLIMATE CHANGE

Trees are an absolute vital tool for the fight against climate change. No matter the country, both the trees, and the healthy soil they product, sequester carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

IT HELPS FLORA AND FAUNA FOUND NO WHERE ELSE IN THE WORLD

Madagascar is one of the world's biodiversity hotspots, with over 90% of its plant and animal species found nowhere else on Earth. Tree planting is crucial in Madagascar to restore degraded forests, protect biodiversity, and maintain ecological balance.

IT SUPPORTS HUMANS TOO!

Local environments support local communities. In both Nepal and Madagascar, it can provide livelihood opportunities by producing forest products such as fruits, nuts, and medicinal plants. It creates eco-tourism, it brings money to the many, rather than lining the pockets of loggers and agricultural companies.
