How to Grow A Healthy Easter Lily

How to Grow A Healthy Easter Lily

Has the Easter Bunny been extra kind to you this year? Yeah, chocolate is great, but Easter lilies are BETTER! Beautiful, fragrant and oh so decorative, what's not to love? If you're lucky enough to be a new proud parent to an Easter Lily, here's how to keep it thriving!

HOW TO WATER AN EASTER LILY

Easter lilies need to be kept evenly moist, but not too wet. It sounds complex, but just stick your finger in the soil. If a lot of soil sticks to the finger, and it feels wet, put the watering can away. If it just feels slightly damp, give it a drink!

WHAT'S THE BEST LIGHT FOR AN EASTER LILY?

Keep your easter lilies in space with bright, indirect light. Try for at least six hours of indirect sunlight each day - a bright dining room is the perfect spot, and will dress your easter table setting! Don't place them in direct sunlight. It can scorch the leaves and cause the wilting.

WHAT'S THE BEST FERTILISER FOR EASTER LILLIES?

While most fertilisers are not suitable to use when Easter Lillies are blooming, We the Wild can be used as soon as you've received the plant. Use Grow and Support to extend the blooming period. You can continue using it year round, for more blooms!

DEADHEADING = REMOVING DEAD FLOWERS

All good things must come to an end! Did you know that removing dead flowers encourages the plant to put its energy into producing new growth? Once the blooms have faded, just snip them from the plant.

With proper care, your Easter lily will be a source of beauty and fragrance for weeks to come.
